The Campaign

Campaign Title
Ishema Ryanjye (My Pride)
Campaign Summary
Ishema Ryanjye seeks to dismantle a fatalism spiral by promoting the idea that health is a source of pride and there is no shame in seeking care. Its high-leverage move, the Isibo Nudge, brings early engagement closer to the neighborhood level through trained Community Health Workers. This acts as a system filter intended to reduce pressure on overwhelmed health centers while helping create a narrative in which survival stories become a stronger community norm.
Public-Health Challenge
Fatalism, delayed screening, workforce constraints, and loss of trust caused by overwhelmed health facilities.
Systems Insight
The Isibo Nudge moves early engagement closer to neighborhoods through Community Health Workers, helping protect clinical capacity and reduce barriers to action.
Audience & Community Context
Young women, older rural women, families, and communities in districts such as Nyagatare, Gicumbi, and Kicukiro. The approach respects cultural modesty by supporting more private, household-level engagement.
